Sitting services give you a chance to have a few hours away from the person you care for, even if the person you care for has dementia or needs a lot of support. A carer can provide care, such as personal care, and help with tasks like making a meal or going out.
As well as giving you time to take a break the person you care for can benefit from spending time with someone different.

Providing Dementia care
With our home care services, we provide support to individuals that have dementia.
Dementia describes different brain disorders that trigger a loss of brain function.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting between 50 and 75 per cent of those diagnosed.
Other types of dementia include vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies.
Symptoms of dementia include memory loss, confusion and problems with speech and understanding and sadly these conditions are usually progressive and worsen over time.
A recent study showed that 85% of people would like to remain in their own homes for as long as possible if diagnosed with dementia. Our Carers are all dementia trained. Stella Care have flexible care option to help support you and your loved ones living with dementia.
